Question about TechniSat DigitRadio 2 S

I have just purchased the radio digitradio 2s and wanted to test the battery. How is the battery charged? After 12 hours with the power on, the battery is still not ready for use. I don't see a battery indicator in the display either, only the current level appears. The battery is new. Many thanks and best regards Markus
