Question about Delock HDMI Audio Extractor
I have a TV that only has Optical or HDMI ARC and an AV receiver that does not support any of these features (AUX/Cinch only). Can I connect my TV via HDMI to this device and from there via AUX to my AV receiver? Many thanks for your help
Did it work? I would have the same setup.
Actually, the Audio Extractor is connected to the HDMI cable between the source and the TV, but I'm not sure if it works the same with ARC.
If your TV has a headphone output, however, you can connect directly to the AUX from there.
This is usually a 3.5 mm jack socket, Digitec has cables for this on Cinch.
Many TVs have a setting in the audio menu so that the output delivers full level and you control the volume externally on the AVR.
