I have a synth with L/R output (jack) and a speaker with L/R input (cinch). Does this work with this "adapter cable"?

You can see this on the jack plug. One black ring = mono, two black rings = stereo. Your synthesizer most likely has a stereo jack, in which case you would need a Y-adapter for the jacks. But then it makes more sense to buy a corresponding cable right away. I assume that you are talking about two speakers and two active ones?
