I have a rotary dimmer switch in my new flat - I would like to replace this with a normal switch as my Hue lamps are very sensitive and react incorrectly to it. Is that possible with this switch?

Helpful answer

The EdizioDue pressure switch Scheme 3 from Feller is a flush-mounted pressure switch, not a dimmer switch. It can perform a normal switching operation, but it is not specifically designed as a replacement for a dimmer switch.

As your Philips Hue lamps are very sensitive to dimmer switches and react incorrectly to them, it is generally possible to replace the dimmer switch with a normal pressure switch to bypass the dimming function. The EdizioDue pressure switch is a simple pressure switch without a dimming function and could therefore be used as a replacement.

However, it should be noted that the EdizioDue push switch scheme 3 does not offer any special integration or control for Philips Hue. For seamless and smart control of Philips Hue lamps, Feller offers separate Smart Light Control wireless push-buttons that work wirelessly and without batteries and are specially optimised for Philips Hue. However, these are not simple push-button switches, but wireless switches with special functions for Hue.

To summarise: Yes, you can replace the dimmer switch with this normal push-button switch to avoid the dimming function and thus prevent the Hue lamps from misbehaving. The switch itself then only controls switching on and off without dimming. Feller has other solutions for smart Hue control.
