I have a pure PC via AVR to TV setup. Every now and then, blank screens appear for a few seconds, especially after starting the whole machinery. I have not yet found out exactly what activity on the Windows desktop triggers it. I read in Samsung forums that you can actually fix such dropouts with a better HDMI cable? Is this true? The DENON 4300 actually supports 2.0a, the ASUS 1080Ti 2.0b, I don't know about the SAMSUNG Q7F... Do I really have to change the cable for 4k 60p incl. HDR? Merci for a clear answer.
The HDMI cable must support 4K60Hz HDR, from version 2.0.
I would use a "Club 3D Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD" or even the "Club 3D Ultra High Speed HDMI 10K 120Hz".
The following cables would have to be replaced:
- PC to AVR
- AVR to TV
Then 4K60P with HDR should be possible.
It is important to activate the extended colour space on the receiver and the TV; I had to activate this additionally on the receiver and the TV.
Greetings
