I have a Nikon Z6II and have an FTZ adapter. Does it make sense to buy this lens instead of the 35mm 1.8 lens of the Z bayonet (much much more expensive)?

No, rather not. DX lenses are not built for full-frame sensors. Your Z6II will therefore only use the APS-C area of the sensor.
