I have a new laptop Full HD and an older 30-inch HP LP3065 monitor, which only has 3x DVI connections. I now want to extend the image from the laptop to the monitor. Unfortunately, the resolution is not exactly high on the extended monitor. Laptop: HP ENVY Laptop 17-cg1997nz (17.3", Intel Core i7, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD): - Graphics card model = Intel Iris Xe Graphics. - Dedicated graphics card = No Monitor: HP LP3065 30-inch widescreen LCD monitor Unfortunately it does not work with this cable either, the resolution is still not good. FYI: Previously the monitor was used with an HP PC and the resolution was very good. Advanced display settings Display information Display 1: Internal display: Display 1: connected to Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics. Desktop resolution: 1920 x 1080 Active signal resolution: 1920 x 1080 Refresh rate (Hz): 60.008 Hz Bit depth: 8-bit Colour format: RGB Colour space: SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) Refresh rate selectable between 40.004 Hz and 60.008 Hz. Display 2: HP LP3065 Display 2: connected with Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics Desktop resolution: 1280 x 800 Active signal resolution: 1280 x 800 Refresh rate (Hz): 59,910 Hz Bit depth: 8-bit Colour format: RGB Colour space: SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) Refresh rate selectable between 59,860 Hz and 59,910 Hz. Maybe this helps someone to understand. When I adjust the refresh rate, nothing changes, or the picture on the monitor is black. Is it at all possible to get a good resolution on this monitor with a full HD laptop? Can anyone help me? Thank you very much in advance. Kind regards kschaellibaum

Hello kschaellibaum
Thank you for your enquiry.
It's a little different for me. I have a laptop (HP Spectre) with resolution 2560 x1440 and an HP monitor HP2301i with 1920 x 1080 60Hz. The devices are connected with the USB-c to DVI-D cable above. Works flawlessly. The screen is scaled down correctly. I also have the Eizo SV2795 monitor with 2560 x1440 resolution. Here, too, the transfer from the PC to the monitor is flawless.
Perhaps the resolution for the second monitor must be set correctly on the PC. And the resolution 1280x800 is worse than 1920x1080.
Best regards, Walter.
