I have a Dual DT 255 turntable with preamplifier. I have heard that this could cause problems. Does anyone here have experience with this problem?

The Ruark Audio R5 already has an integrated phono preamplifier. Your record player should have a phono line that can be switched on and off. This would solve the problem.
