Question about Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

I have a Behringer mixing console with various microphones. Can I make recordings on a PC with this sound card? How does the line in behave if I don't connect a record player but a mixer? Can I use the Can I deactivate the preamplifier of the record player in the sound card? Thank you
