I don't understand the wattage... If I have a laptop with a 60 Watt power supply: Can I charge it with the 50 Watt panel in combination with the Sherpa 100 PD? Or do I need the 100 Watt solar panel for that?
That depends on your config the Nomad 50 already has USB outputs via which you could already charge devices. The panel generates a maximum of 50W, but in reality it's probably more like 25-35 because there are clouds and we're not at the equator ;)
If you're talking about the Sherpa 100 PD, plug the Sherpa back into the Nomad's USB connector. Check out the Sherpa 100 AC where you can connect the panel to the 8mm solar connector so you don't lose power to the USB.
At the other end, what is important is the output power of the Sherpa, since you are connecting the notebook. The Sherpa has 60W output, so in your case your notebook would be charged with the maximum power.
