Question about smart Scart to HDMI Converter
I connected the converter between the HDD/DVD player Sony RDR-HX910 and the new TV Samsung QE-65Q80T 65" 4K Tizen. At the first start-up, there was sound from the DVD on the TV. After unplugging and plugging in again, nothing came back. DVD on old TV Scart to Scart works / PC on HDMI input on new TV also works. Therefore, in my opinion, the problem must be with the converter. Do you think it must be working and the converter is defective? Then I would order a new one... If you think your Marmitek Connect AH31 (item 5630752) is better, I will order this one.
Good evening. The Scart Line I - TV of the RDR-HX910 must be connected to the Scart connection of the adapter. Connect the HDMI out of the adapter to a free HDMI of the AV receiver. This is how you get the picture. The sound must be connected separately to the AV receiver using a 2-pin video cable (red and white) from Line 2 out of the RDR-HX910. Then everything should work as desired - good luck! (this worked for me)
Hello. Here is the final report, so to speak ;-):
I have ordered the Marmitek Connect AH3 and connected it to the devices described above. Everything works perfectly! Sound and picture are coming through on the new TV.
This is not meant to be a principled condemnation of the converter I originally ordered, it was apparently simply defective.
