I connected it to my stereo system, but unfortunately the sound is extremely muffled and cannot be adjusted. What can I do?

How is it connected? RCA jack cable or optical? To which input of the system is it connected? What kind of system is it? It must be the connection, I connected it with a cinch-jack cable to the stereo and it sounds great.
Try to connect it to another input.
