Question about 38UC99-W - 110040

I cannot connect the monitor via the DisplayPort of my MacBook Pro Mid2015 - no image is displayed. I also ordered a mini-DP to DP adapter. Does not work either. At the moment, the monitor only runs via HDMI and 30Hz - not really satisfactory for a monitor in this price range. Any ideas what the problem could be?
