Question about Value Dvi — Dvi

I bought two of these cables. They both work fine, but with one cable, the monitor doesn't find out that it's supposed to go into sleep mode. What could be the problem? Instead of the short message, "Sleep mode is activated", it says "Check screen cable" (as if no cable is connected). This is probably due to a bad contact in the cable. When I exit sleep mode again, the screen works normally. Unfortunately, the message doesn't just disappear again, but is displayed for a whole minute (Looks like this: https://img.ricardostatic.ch/t_1800x1350/pl/1143853156/2/1/ [this is not my monitor, but the message looks exactly the same]). To be honest, I don't want to send the cable in again. But if anyone from the community knows how I can adjust the display time on the screen, would be super grateful to you (one minute is way too long). Maybe there are advanced settings. Monitor model "HP Compaq LA2306x". Thanks in advance.
