I bought this model 7 months ago. Swisscom has warned me that this model will no longer be able to reach emergency services from 7 April 2026 because they (Swisscom) are going to stop 3G. Is this normal and how many are affected? How do I know if a smartphone will be deprived of such a service?

Bought 1 month ago, compatible with Volte so no connection problems. I had this connection problem with my previous phone even with 4G on board but no Volte....

Hello, yes the service will be interrupted, I spoke to specialists at Swisscom, the 3G stops, but the emergency services are still supported by this 3G. This phone is not 3G compatible. So from 7 April it will no longer be possible to call emergency services such as 117 118 or whatever. I've been told that 3G is provided by other operators and that we could try making these numbers and that it should work if we capture the other operators' network. It's sad on Swisscom's part, they could have migrated these numbers to 4G or 5G and we'd have been in the clear. If you still want to be able to contact their emergency services, or change their phone number. As a reminder, Swisscom has just increased its tariffs by almost CHF 2 per month, supposedly to modernise the network. In spite of customers who see and remove emergency services and first necessity point belle journée
