Question about Acer USB Type-C Docking Station

I bought this docking station because it is supposed to fit my Acer Travelmate (6 months old). However, when I connect my monitor (AOC brand), which is also only 3 months old, the monitor does not recognise any device. If I connect the monitor directly to the laptop, it works. In addition, my laptop does not charge via the docking station. What use should it still have then? Or do I still have to connect the docking station to the PC somehow?

I bought the docking station a few months ago. Everything worked great at first. After about a week, the docking station no longer recognised the keyboard and mouse. It also no longer recognised the RJ 45 interface.
I sent the docking station back. Acer then (very quickly) sent me the docking station again and told me that they could not detect any problems.
After a week, the same problem again.
Have now sent it back again and asked for my money back.
I use an Acer Aspire R13 and a Dell U2715H.

Unfortunately, I don't have either. I have a Predator. I have to connect the hdmi and power separately.

I use this docking station with a Samsung S24C350 screen and an acer Swift 7 laptop.

It works fine for me (screen is recognised and laptop is charged) --> but you can't use the USB C charging socket, you have to use a different USB C socket.
