Varta Recharge Accu Power
4 pcs., AA, 2100 mAh
I bought these batteries in a double pack and am totally disappointed. They should be used in various devices (e.g. camera), but they are not. These batteries do not have 1.5V but only 1.2V! I am really confused now, because it was clear to me that all AA batteries/rechargeable batteries have 1.5V, but this is apparently not the case. Why can't you put such important information as voltage on the packaging? For me, this is essential information, such as size, power, etc. Has anyone had similar experiences? Regards Jens
Hello Jens. This does not matter for most devices. Batteries only have a nominal voltage of 1.5 volts when they are brand new. This voltage decreases with batteries in the course of use. Rechargeable batteries have a more stable voltage over time. This means that practically all devices must be able to cope with a certain voltage range. In general, rechargeable batteries should be used for devices that consume a lot of electricity (flash lights, cameras, toys, etc.). Batteries in devices that consume little power or are used only rarely (remote control, thermometer, etc.). Reason: unused batteries discharge much less quickly than unused rechargeable batteries.
