I bought the product for a colleague to replace a previous model. However, we had the problem that we cannot select on the printer itself with scanning to computer whether it should be saved as PDF or other format in the PC. This was possible with the previous model. Also, you cannot select whether the original is 1-sided or 2-sided. Is this no longer possible with the new models?
With the new HP multifunction devices you have correctly noticed that right-clicking on the printer directly is no longer possible, this is the case with HP.
However, you can download the HP Easy Scan app with Windows 10.
With Windows10 you can then simply drag the installed APP onto the desktop and you have a shortcut.
and you have a shortcut.
There you can set everything again: Image, PDF, resolution or the storage location at more.... once.
ATTENTION: HP also offers the APP HP Smart, which I do not recommend because the scanner does not always work.
Thank you very much for your answer. However, my question was not about the operation on the PC, but that I would like to initiate the scan via the touch display on the printer itself, as it is in a different room from the PC. And I don't want to run to the printer first, place the sheet for scanning, then run to the PC to start the scan and then run to the printer again to remove the sheet.
There is a "Scan to PC" function on the printer display itself. However, it is always saved as an image and not as a PDF. And I can no longer say that I want to merge several scans into one PDF document.
Perhaps I have expressed myself too imprecisely. I am sorry for that.
