Question about Arctic Silver Thermopaste silver 5 (3.5g)
I am upgrading my setup with a new CPU + cooler. Can I just smear the paste in between and be done with it? Or is there anything important I need to do?

A portion the size of a grain of rice in the middle of the CPU is sufficient. This is then evenly distributed by the pressure of the cooler.
