Question about EcoFlow Delta 2

I am looking for a power station as a small backup at home. A solar panel (approx. 200W) is also a possibility. After hours of research, I have not found any answers to the following questions or exclusion criteria regarding the EcoFlow Delta 2: Can a three-pole multiple plug or a three-pole plug strip be connected to the single Schuko AC 230V connection remaining with the CH version, after attaching a D/CH adapter, and can several devices be operated at the same time? Should only a single two-pole consumer be possible, the financial expenditure would not be justifiable for me. Is it possible to charge via the solar panel and draw power from the AC 230V connection at the same time? Can the unit also be operated on a covered terrace? What about humidity? In an EcoFlow advertising picture, the Powerstation was standing outside when it was snowing! What noise can be expected from the built-in fans? The unit may be located in the living area. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

It is correct that it is possible to use a multiple plug. However, this is not permitted by Swiss standards. Only one device may be connected.

It is also important to know that the Ecoflow devices unfortunately still do not have a solar pre-circuit. This means that when shore power and a solar module are plugged in, the consumer always receives the current looped through from the shore power. I can't say whether the solar module then charges the battery in parallel. However, it would be nice and sensible if the consumer was supplied by the solar power and the battery until, for example, the battery level was 30% and then the shore power was switched on as a backup. Perhaps this will come with an update. Users have been asking for this for a long time. As far as I know, only the Bluetti AC300 supports this function.

The unit may only be set up in cool and dry places. So not on the balcony, terrace, etc. This is what I was told by Ecoflow support.

The volume of the Ecoflow is supposed to be quite loud. Just like the Delta Pro, the Ecoflow Delta 2 is supposed to drone with up to 60 dB even at low loads. I have never heard it myself and cannot say for sure. But the reviews from other buyers are clear. Not suitable for the living room or bedroom.

All these negative points made me cancel my Ecoflow again and wait. Ecoflow support has already confirmed that there will be other devices on the market. According to the statement, no EcoFlow Delta Max but better devices. He did not want to tell me when and what. But it will probably not take months. But I do not know.

You can use a three-pin CH plug (or a multi-plug) in a CH-to-Shoko adapter. Remember that the Delta 2 has no earthed output.

You can draw power and feed in solar power at the same time. The Delta 2, as well as its big brother Delta Pro, have fans that switch on and increase the noise level depending on the amount of current drawn/injected.

I would not recommend setting it up on the patio or in any other damp area. You have expensive electronics and batteries. Take a pair of MC4 extension cables to connect the solar panel to the Delta 2.

I would also recommend buying solid solar panels for the Delta 2 and not the 3x more expensive Ecoflow panels (which are more mobile and lighter).

You can use a three-pin CH plug (or a multiplug) in a CH to Shoko adapter. Remember that the Delta 2 does not have a grounding output.

You can draw power while also inputing solar power at the same time. The Delta 2 like it's big brother Delta Pro do have fans that will turn on and increase the noise level based on the amount of power your draw/input.

I would not recommend to leave it on the terrace or another humid area. You got expensive electronics and batteries. Take a pair of MC4 extension cables to link the solar panel to the Delta 2.

I will also recommend to get solid solar panels for the Delta 2 rather than the 3x more expensive Ecoflow panels (which are more mobile and lighter).

Hope this helps a bit, otherwise jump to the Delta Pro and read the comments there.
