I am looking for a good PC mouse. I don't need the mouse for games but for everyday office use. I'm not allowed to install any software in the office, so that's where my question comes in. Can I just connect the mouse via USB and start right away without software? I work in the business with Windows 7 and Windows 10, use Office Outlook, Word, Excel Internet, CAD and SAP. What can I do with the mouse if I just connect it via USB without any software, just plug and play? Or does anyone have another product that they can recommend to me that is sufficient for everyday office use without software?

So if you just plug them in then you can use them normally. Extra buttons also work, but you have to be able to define them in your programmes. As far as I know, the software is responsible for the led lighting, so if you don't install the software, there will simply be a relatively smooth colour transition.
