TechniSat DigitRadio 110 IR
Web radio, DAB+, FM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
I am looking for a DAB+ radio, but value good sound quality. Does anyone have experience in combination with active speakers? Recommendations?
I have been using the adapter for 2 months. I bought it because I had switched TV reception (and therefore also radio) from the local antenna provider to Sunrise. And because I don't want the TV to be on all the time when I want to listen to the radio (I can only see on the TV which radio station I have tuned in to), I bought the adapter.
- The reception of DAB+ is - even with the throw antenna alone - very good, contrary to my wildest expectations.
- I hardly use FM any more.
- Reception of Internet radio also works without any problems. This is ideal, of course, when I like to select special-interest radio stations.
- It also works well via Bluetooth... as long as the signal from the adapter to the amplifier is not transmitted via an optical cable. Unfortunately, Bluetooth only works when the signal is transmitted via a jack plug. .... Strange control !
The sound transmitted via optical cable is very good. In this case, even the volume button on the remote control of the adapter has no influence. The volume can only be adjusted on the amplifier. But that's not a problem.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the device.
I also have it "networked" via the stereo system - via AUX1 - so nothing huge. But perfect sound in the DAB range. And in the Internet range, depending on the source, also very good. I would buy this thing again at any time and recommend it to my best friend!
I operate the same TechniSat DigitRadio 110 IR not with active speakers, but with a stereo system. The sound quality is excellent - compared to the previous FM reception - both as Internet and DAB radio.
yes, I bought TechniSat DigitRadio 110 IR with Bose Companion 2 Series III. Excellent sound quality.
