Question about Crockpot CSC026X 5 l DuraCeramic

I tried this out today, after I had asked the question. It works great, but after 20 minutes I switched manually from boiling to keeping warm.

This is a slow cooker, not a rice cooker. I have cooked congee (rice soup) before, but never rice. But I can't imagine it either.
