How is the sound
From my original review: "...Furthermore, the sound quality is very good for an audio device of this size and price range when used in a room appropriate for its size. ...".
The sound is very good. Especially at low volume. With the equaliser, you can adjust the tones to your liking.
I find the sound good to very good. You can also choose your own setting in the equaliser under "my EQ"; treble and bass. I am very satisfied overall.
The question is answered, I am 80+ and have noticed the same thing. It is especially noticeable on the side of the speakers.
I would say satisfactory. It always depends on what you expect. The 80+ generation in our family finds the sound very good. For audiophile ears, however, the sound has shortcomings and falls somewhat in quality, especially in comparison to the otherwise impeccable workmanship and the range of functions. If you use the built-in loudness function to achieve more fullness, fine ears can detect slight distortions in the lower and upper frequencies. In the mid-range of the sound spectrum, e.g. the newscaster, the sound reproduction is very good. For the price and especially for the range of functions offered, a clear buy recommendation. If you are not using the device in the kitchen but in the living room and have high sound demands, you can loop the sound from the device through to your hi-fi system via a 3.5 mm jack. To be fair, however, it must also be mentioned that the speakers of the hi-fi system also cost 10 times more than the DigitRadio...
