How is the shielding ?
No one can tell you that. In any case, I don't intend to cut the cable. ;)
I have a lot of electronics in the vicinity:
AVR, BR player, NV Shield, Swisscom TV, many (really many) cables, Sonos, Harmony and usually two smartphones are close by and I have no problems at all. With 3 m, I wouldn't really worry about it. Any reasonable cheap cable will do the job, it's a digital connection after all!
