How great is the range when using an adapter without connection losses/delays? Does anyone have any experience? I would like to operate the controller on my computer, which is about 3-4 metres away. I would have to buy the adapter for this, but I can't find anything on the net about the range.

I don't have any experience with the adapter, but you can also connect the Xbox controller to Windows 10 (or Android / FireTV etc) via Bluetooth. A USB Bluetooth adapter is cheap and I haven't noticed any disadvantages so far. Multiple controllers are also no problem. If necessary, you can update the controller's firmware via Windows 10 using a Microsoft Store app.

4 metres is no problem, it is best to use a USB port on the front of the computer so that the signal does not have to pass through the housing.
