How can I print with this printer via Apple Air Print if I can only connect it to the network and no wifi connection is possible? According to Internet research, the 3002dn does not have Wi-Fi.

I'm not sure if the printer supports airprint... yes; the digitec site shows airprint for this printer. But I can't find it in the compatibility list at HP:

As far as I know, Airprint only works with printers that have WLAN. And then both devices (i.e. printer and iOS device) must be logged into the same WLAN...

You therefore need the LaserJet Pro 3002dW printer and not "dN". The W stands for WLAN and the N for Network (Ethernet).

I was confused at first too. 
I connected it to the Internet Rooter with Ethernet cable (which I had to buy additionally). Then the printer appears on when I press CTRL P to print on the Printer selection - automatically.
It was long to figure this out; the fact that there is no Wifi sign on the printer was extra confusing.
