Question about Canon Selphy CP1500
hi everyone, do I understand correctly that this printer can be used via mobile if the Canon Selphy app is installed? No photos can be printed via Bluetooth? So via app super easy, but if people don't have an app they can't print themselves, correct? I'm asking because I want to set up the printer for a party and it would be handy if everyone could print themselves. Thanks for the info!
That sounds a bit awkward if everyone has to pair the device again without the app. Otherwise, I would simply set up a standalone tablet/smartphone that already has the app and everyone can take a snapshot and print it. Otherwise, an instant cam might be better for the purpose because otherwise you can take support during the entire event. 😉
You could also print via memory card (and USB C, but I haven't tried it). With my Upbiquiti access points (older) the printer sometimes bucks, since yesterday I have it in the mode where the printer itself opens a WiFi access point. Under Windows 11 this works simultaneously with my existing network (with or without password) and I can access the printer from Lightroom, for example.
