Question about Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX bulk

Hello I have tested an Asus Xonar DGX on a PCIE 1, PCIE 2 and PCIE 3 connection. But I think it will work the same way for these, because even PCIE 1 x1 offers enough bandwidth for sound files. The only difference would be the codec and therefore the overhead (additional information needed) is much smaller < 2 % instead of about 20 % for PCIE 1 and 2. However, the highest should need a little more processing power to receive it. Generally speaking, the PCIE Express standard is mutually compatible anyway.
