Question about Digitec DisplayPort - DisplayPort 1.4 Mesh
Hello Can I use the cable for both 4K 240hz and 2K 480hz? NVIDIA 5090 and the monitors are from Asus so Display Port 2.0. I need longer cables than the ones supplied. Thanks in advance.

The cable supports DisplayPort 1.4 with a length of 3 metres and is designed for video transmissions with a bandwidth of up to 32.4 Gbps. For 4K at 240 Hz or 2K at 480 Hz, however, a higher bandwidth is required, which DisplayPort 1.4 alone cannot achieve without compression. The NVIDIA RTX 5090 and Asus monitors with DisplayPort 2.0 can only achieve these high frame rates uncompressed with a DisplayPort 2.0 cable.
This means that this DisplayPort 1.4 cable is technically not ideal for transmitting 4K 240 Hz or 2K 480 Hz uncompressed. Compression (DSC) may be necessary when using this cable or the maximum refresh rate may be reduced. This 3 metre cable is suitable for longer cables than those supplied, but a DP 2.0 cable would be required for the full performance of DP 2.0 at the resolutions and refresh rates mentioned.
