Hello Can anyone tell me how to switch off the light from the mainboard? I just can't figure it out.

But then the juice on the usb also fails when shutting down, which should not be a problem under normal circumstances?

Either loosen the luminous cover and pull out the plug, or the better variant. Use the programme from asus
