Question about Value DisplayPort — HDMI (Typ A)
Hello Zäme I have a normal monitor and a docking station with a free DP slot. Is this cable suitable for the connection? I use two monitors but unfortunately the station only has 1 HDMi slot.
If it should not work with the docking station, it might work if you use an active cable.
Here the signal is actively converted from DP to HDMI.

Most of the time it works without problems. But I would still check whether you can use both video ports of the docking station at the same time. And if it is, whether the DP port is DP++ capable (often it is not explicitly stated in the manual). DP++ means it can also output an HDMI signal when a passive adapter is connected.
