Question about RØDE VideoMic Pro R
Hello together I bought the microphone and it can be switched on but not connected to the camera (Sony a7s ii). What could be the problem? Unfortunately no sound comes out.

Not being familiar with the Sony a7s II, I looked up a few tutorials on YouTube and it says that it is possible to connect a microphone with a TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) connector to the red connector on the left side of the camera.
Another YouTuber suggests looking in the camera's audio menus and adjusting the gain of the microphone input.
Another possibility is to increase the microphone output gain with the +20 db button, but this will induce noise in the recording.
Finally, some web users swear by the professional interface, which has XLR inputs and gain settings and is attached to the top of the camera, but this is clearly in a different price bracket.
