Question about Ugreen USB C – Display Port

Hello together I have the following setup: - MacBook Air M4 - HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 - Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 Currently, the monitor often shows "Unsupported mode" when I connect it via the dock. My question: Does this USB-C → DisplayPort cable work when I connect it from the USB-C port of the dock (DP Alt Mode) to the DisplayPort of the monitor? So specifically this setup: MacBook → Thunderbolt → HP Dock G2 → USB-C → DisplayPort → OLED G8 Or should I better connect the monitor directly from the MacBook via USB-C → DisplayPort? Does anyone have experience with exactly this setup or the OLED G8? Thank you!

Helpful answer
The UGREEN cable works, but it is unsafe via the USB-C port of the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2. For the Odyssey G8, it is most reliable to connect the monitor directly from the MacBook via USB-C → DisplayPort.
