Question about Canon P-208II imageFORMULA

Hello I often (3-5 times a month) have to deal with construction plans up to A00. The printer is in the company but without scan function. Until now, they have always been brought to the repro centre. I wonder if this method could be replaced by, for example, assembling photos or individual A4 scans and assembling them. Or could the scan function help here?

The quality of the scans from the P-208II are very good from my point of view (subjectively). Subjectively better than from my Epson WF-7525.

Since these are blueprints, I am rather sceptical whether you will be satisfied with the scanner and/or with your idea.

This scanner is designed for A4. It has some headroom, but that probably won't be enough to put together a clean coherent A0.
I know there are apps/software that would automatically stitch, but I don't have any experience myself.

Via smartphone app (Microsoft Lens, Scanner Pro, CamScanner, etc) it would be worth a try, but I don't know if the quality is enough for your needs (or you end up needing a smartphone in the CHF 1000+ range because of the lenses/sensor).

With 3-5 times / month, an A0 scanner would also not be worth it (start at 2500.- as new, but I don't know if you can buy something used in good condition).
In terms of cost/benefit, you can try Microsoft Lens (assuming you have an Android smartphone and a free app).

I wouldn't do that. In my experience, the scan quality is not that good and it is also a bit tricky to get the sheets to feed in straight.
