Hello, I have an older computer with only VGA connection and a new monitor with Display Port, HDMI, DVI interface. Can I use the Delock to connect this monitor to a USB port on the computer? Is there perhaps also an alternative product to continue using the VGA connection of my computer? An adapter HDMI to VGA or Display Port to VGA etc.). Many thanks
You can plug a DVI connector (VGAm to DVIw) into your older computer with VGA and then connect the monitor to DVI with a DVI cable. However, I doubt whether you can do anything with USB. I have already tried my suggestion myself and in my opinion it should work.
But there should also be couplings with VGA to HDMI, which you could then also use with an HDMI cable.
The product only connects HDMI with USB 2.0, so it does not offer a VGA interface. So you have to search the internet for a specific adapter (or cable) with HDMI to VGA interface. There should be one...
