Question about Value DisplayPort — HDMI (Typ A) (2 m, DisplayPort, HDMI)

Hello, I am looking for a cable to connect my laptop (HDMI) to an external Samsung monitor (display port). Can I use this product? I am a little bit confused because the explanation says that it can only be used to connect the display port from PC/laptop to a HDMI Monitor (to opposite of what I need). Could you clarify me on this?
