Hello Community I have a similar but not identical device from another manufacturer. I have the following situation: HDMI IN (media player, without Toslink) -> - Audio = Toslink / SPDIF Optical OK - Video image = HDMI OK - Audio HDMI = FAIL What I need is a device that can release audio via HDMI as well as via Toslink (optical). Can you tell me if this device can do that? It doesn't necessarily have to work in parallel, but I don't want to keep switching. HDMI Matrix 4x4 (additional inputs can manage the audio themselves) - 3 outputs (choice of projector, TV or TV room) Since I need the audio in the room via HDMI, but on the projector from Toslink, both should work. Thanks for your help.

Helpful answer
the hdmi output signal remains unchanged.
at the same time you have a s/pdif signal with 5.1/7.1 surround on the coax or toslink output if the input is compressed (e.g. dolby digital or dts).
with a multichannel pcm input signal, a stereo signal is output on coax and toslink and the multichannel pcm remains in the hdmi output (however, this is due to the bandwidth limitation of s/pdif).
