As far as I know, the PS5 and the new XBox no longer have an optical output (Toslink). Both consoles have HDMI 2.1. Unfortunately, my AV receiver has no HDMI, only Toslink (the PS4 is connected) or coaxial. Before I buy a new receiver, I would like to try such an extractor. Or which model would be more suitable?
Astro has announced something for October. Better to wait?

If you're aiming for 4K, you'll probably have problems... 1080P works, I had also set it up that way. But since everything is 4K, I use the sound via HDMI and then from the optical output on the TV to the amplifier...
