Question about Lenovo Thinkpad Dock G2

Hello all, I couldn't find anyone who knows if the dock can also be used with a Surface Go. I can connect the Surface go to my monitor (Dell UltraSharp U2720Q) via DisplayPort and USB-C without any problems. But when I connect the Surface to the monitor via the dock instead, the monitor is no longer recognised. I know that my Surface Go does not support Thunderbolt. But it should still work via USB-C fallback? Or do I need a USB-C dock? Thanks a lot

Hello ! Intel firmware takes over Thunderbolt docking ! Thunderbolt is not the same as USB-C. In this case I would buy a USB-C docking from Lenovo or Dell! You have a right of return.

Hello In my opinion, Surface Go does not have a Thunderbolt interface. You need a USB -C dock! Lenovo Thunderbolt Docking are supported by Intel processor Thunderbolt. I would buy a Surface Dock 2 all other manufacturers without guarantee. Greetings Bruno
