Hello all! I have now ordered this and now I am wondering, do I have to register such a small drone for Switzerland as well as for example in Italy? Ah, and does it have to be specially included in my insurance?

Helpful answer

You definitely don't have to register it, as the drone weighs less than 250 grams. So it is allowed everywhere even without registration. I am not sure about the insurance. Maybe you should ask. Greetings

Hello... My answer to your question. Registration is not necessary, but I would do it. Doesn't cost much and can be done straight away with the drone licence, which is also not compulsory (yet). You can read everything here and possibly also become a member. https://www.drohnenverband.ch
Regarding the question of "insurance": I would recommend that you do so, although it is not (yet) required in Switzerland. Simply call the insurance company where you have your liability insurance, give them the details of your drone (size, weight etc.) and they will send you a new contract containing this passage. Costs just under CHF 30 per year.
It now depends on the EU and whether Switzerland jumps on the same bandwagon. Then everything will change a bit.
Registration, insurance and a small drone licence will then be compulsory.
Have fun with your drone and above all good luck that it flies accident-free for a long time! :-)
