Has anyone tried playing the Ruark R5 via Apple Music? Streamed and non-streamed music.

Do not try it, but it is not explicitly stated by the manufacturer in the operating instructions: https://www.ruarkaudio.com/pdf... EN page 25.
However, there would be the following possibility:
Streaming from DLNA media.
You can also stream music from a DLNA-compatible (Digital Living Network Alliance) media server on your R5. In this case, you browse the server itself for music, which you then play on your R5. There are many apps for Mac, iOS, Linux, Android, Windows phone etc. that turn your smartphone, tablet or laptop into a DLNA music server. Windows Media Player even has a "play on" feature that allows you to
to play the music on your computer directly on your R5. When streaming DLNA media, your R5 acts as a Digital Media Renderer (DMR). This means that you search for music on your smartphone or laptop, which you then play on your R5 via your network. Your R5 will automatically switch to DMR mode when you select your R5* as the playback device - DMR cannot be selected via the Source button. Accordingly, all information displayed is controlled by the server and there are no settings you can change.
