Question about EcoFlow Solar panel
Has anyone also experienced that the part charges 0% when only a small part of one of the four panels is shaded? I bought it in February 2022 and it worked fine, then suddenly stopped working. The replacement was promptly delivered by Digitec some time ago, but what strikes me about the replacement is that as soon as a part is shaded or very unevenly sunlit, the charge is 0%. Something is defective, isn't it? I didn't notice this at the beginning, only when I wondered about the weak charging performance.
That is correct, even if a small part (<10%) of a single cell is not irradiated by the light, the whole panel does not work because the cells are connected in series and the non-irradiated part acts as a resistor and not as a current generator.
I have experienced this effect myself.
Since the delivery of the connection cable, I have only seen the sun for a few minutes, so a test is unfortunately still pending.
I will report as soon as the "Minna" can be seen again.
The sun has not shown itself so far. :-( But I will watch the loading and make my presence felt again.
My panel produces a decent output, even though it is partially shaded.
