Hello everyone, we have installed dimmable switches/buttons for our conventional ceiling lamps. Can these still be used for the Philips Hue, or can the Hue be dimmed with them, or do they need to be changed to on/off buttons? Thank you very much for your help!
As Danaus73 already says, dimming in that sense is not possible, only switching on and off.
But you can replace your conventional dimmer with a "Hue" switch, then you can dim and select scenes without always opening the app.
I find this one very nice because it integrates well into the existing installation.

A Hue remote control that you can also mount on the wall is cheaper.

Remember that you may also need a Hue Brdige for the switch and lamps to work together.
Yes, it works with a dimmable switch when it is at maximum (I have it that way too). When you turn it back, the lamp turns off. So dimming is not done via the switch, but via the Hue app.
