Question about i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 Dual 4K Dock
Good morning, I have just bought this item and is it normal for it to make noise - like a V8?? is it a defect? it's a very annoying noise and I'm hesitant to have it returned! Thank you for your reply.
Mine also makes a very high-pitched noise when it is switched on. This is most likely a coil whine problem: some components charge and discharge at an audible frequency and this charging/discharging introduces a slight physical movement.
If the noise bothers you too much, you should probably switch to another product.
