Good evening community I have a question, namely my colleague and I have assembled his PC, everything went well, everything went smoothly. When we then connected the graphics card there was a short circuit, then we wanted to start the PC, nothing came on except the logo of the mainboard. We also tested it manually, but nothing moved. Is it possible that the pins for the front panel are broken? I am glad for help! Have a nice evening
Hello Zorsla1. I had the same problem, no short circuit, but the MB light went on but nothing else happened. It turned out that I wanted to install a 3rd generation processor on this 2nd generation MB. Since this MB has no Bios-Flash, I decided to buy a new MB. Conclusion: check the compatibility of processor vs. MB. Greetings BadaBing
Hello Zorsla, I would rule out the pins for the front panel, they cannot trigger a short circuit. Have you connected the graphics card or the separate power connection during operation? That could be the cause. It could also be that the power supply is not supplying enough current to the graphics card. In that case, you would have to buy and install a power supply unit with at least 700 watts or higher. The fact that the logo of the mainboard appears is actually a good sign, which proves that the power supply and mainboard are working. So my remote diagnosis is that the power supply is too weak for the graphics card, you can try to remove the graphics card and use the onboard graphics card from the mainboard (Displayport) so you see if you can at least install Windows 10. Greetings Dave
