Good day, does this adapter convert the display port into an HDMI connection and can a monitor that only has a DP connection be connected to the laptop with HDMI? Thank you and greetings

Yes exactly, if only one DisplayPort is available, you can connect with HDMI.
I need it exactly in the other direction. My notebook has a DisplayPort, but no HDMI. But because it can usually be connected via HDMI, I bought this adapter. This should also work for you.

Thank you for the answer. Does it really work in the opposite direction? The way you describe it, the source has Displayport and not the destination. For me, however, it would be the other way round.
