No. For 144hz transmission you need at least Display Port 1.2 (this product is DP 1.1).

No. Only use DisplayPort to reliably bring high frame rates in good quality from your PC to your monitor. DisplayPort to DVI at 144+hz only works with expensive adapters that generate blatant latency.
