Does the lens come with the latest firmware update or am I forced to buy the USB adapter as well? And does anyone have experience with this lens on the Canon 800D/T7i regarding AF compatibility?

I had this lens on my 200D (probably some similarities with the 800D) and had massive problems with AF. Most of the time it was out of focus.
