Question about Seagate Backup Plus Portable Drive

And do you just plug them in and they show up in the Disk Utility app? Because I have the second such disk now that doesn't show up on any of my Macs, and Linux doesn't recognise it either. I don't have a Windows one to test, but I'll ask the neighbour. I feel a bit stupid, I've managed to get all the hard disks to work so far.

I have 3 of these hard drives, all run flawlessly with macOS 10.15
